The Walk

The walk started at Twin Bridges Picnic Area -already a scenic place to stop and visit with it’s own large stone steps over Sailors Creek.

It then headed north passing through Tipperary Springs, Bryces Flat and finally The Blowhole.

At Bryces Flat Picnic Area, the shoes came off and the feet went into the water. Refreshing at first then the sting of the cold on warm feet hit!

This was a great place to stop for a short break and some snacks.

Over the weekend I did a very small section of it around Daylesford/Hepburn Springs area. An amazing walk and something I’d like to do again but maybe after heading out from The Blowhole and doing another section.

My new lens had recently arrived, the Olympus 8-25 f/4 pro and this walk was a great way to try out taking minimal gear with me.

All but one image below captured on this lens. If only my CPL and ND filter had arrived. I could have used both filters for the water, reflections/glare and long exposures.

The gallery below is in order from Twin Bridges Picnic Area to The Blowhole. All were hand held using the 8-25mm on my EM-1 MKII.

I even captured some video using my Gopro 9 on a magnetic mount for that FPV view, really it just saves holding it!

Please enjoy a few clips of the track. Which most of the time follows the creek giving expansive views of it from the steep walls that line it.
